AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)

Aquarians belong to the eleventh house of the Zodiac circle, and can be independent, friendly, caring and inventive. Uranus is their ruling planet. Aquarians are natural organizers. They like to maintain a balance and order. Other descriptors can be Stubborn, Societal, Mental poise, Opinionated, Unconventional, Musical, Rebellious. They can also be very idealistic, championing societal rules on the one hand, while remaining very independent thinkers, with a tendency to rebel if the rules fall outside these ideals.

Blue and violet are Aquarius lucky colours. Leo is their opposite sign and they are least compatible with Cancer and Virgo. They are most compatible with Gemini, Libra and Aquarius. Aquarians can be stubborn and resistant to change or accepting new ideas that are not their own. Big changes in life are accepted as a challenge, but small changes can sometimes throw them off their plans. Their societal orientation, loyalty, fairness, and objective nature tend to attract many friends and acquaintances in life. Though they like to live well, Aquarians are more interested in people than they are in amassing great wealth or taking on large amounts of responsibility. They are usually loyal friends and tend to treat everyone as their equal, respecting the opinion of others and expecting the same in return. In relationships, their intellectual approach makes them appear interested but not particularly passionate or possessive. It does not necessarily mean they really lack passion. When they do focus their feelings, their passion can be as intense as it is inspirational.

Aquarians are good eaters but may not be that interested in what's on the menu, and are rarely into cooking in general. They are enthusiastic about sports, as long as they can participate with a partner, or as part of a team, generally having little trouble keeping physically fit. They are not well suited to individual sports, where they can become lonely or bored. Broad jumping, camping, ballooning, tennis, swimming, racquetball, and baseball can be favorite activities.

Good career options for Aquarians include communication especially broadcasting, software fields, astrology, technological research, meteorology, musical arts etc. Science and engineering, international finance, writing, music, psychology or social work can also be areas of special interest to Aquarians.
